Ken Levine , father of BioShock , has been busy with a new video game for several years . After leaving 2K and the dystopian saga, universally recognized as one of the best of the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation, Levine founded his development studio Ghost Story Games way back in 2017. And now something is finally starting to move, at least listening to the statements of Ralph Valve on Twitter .
According to the insider’s words, Ken Levine would now be ready to unveil his new project. The stage of the reveal? Obviously The Game Awards 2021, the event to be held on December 9, 2021 at Microsoft Theather. In addition to a series of statuettes for many different categories, in fact, the event also includes several world premieres. In recent days, there has also been talk of how some games that will be unveiled have been in development for over two years and actually Levine’s title can certainly fall into this category.
We do not know if Ken Levine’s new project will really be at The Game Awards 2021. However, there are elements that make us think that it is very likely that it will appear during the evening. The first is certainly development: the project has now been active for 5 years, between design and actual development. The second, on the other hand, concerns the continuous appearances of Levine between 2016 and 2017: the father of BioShock has participated in fairs such as the GDC and the Eurogamer Expo, revealing many different details of the game in progress at Ghost Story Games. And after four years, by now the project should be ready even just to show itself to the general public.
If indeed the new game from the author of BioShock will be at The Game Awards 2021, we can expect everything. Levine has already said in the past that the first Ghost Story Games project would be sci-fi themed, but with a clear cut to the past. And we don’t really know what to expect: the surprise, knowing the developer, can really be around the corner.
