Techland has announced that a complete edition of the zombie and parkour game will be available in digital stores starting tomorrow at a discount of up to 70%.
The first Dying Light is one of the most striking open world video games of the last generation of consoles, and its mix of close combat, parkour skills, post-apocalyptic setting and mutated creatures -including zombies- make up an irresistible cocktail for lovers of this type of proposals. The title was originally released in 2015 and, in order to commemorate its seventh anniversary, Techland has announced (via Game Informer ) that it will release a Definitive Edition with all the content released so far.
” Dying Light has been a fantastic journey, and we are grateful to the community for supporting the game with us over the past 7 years. However, we also understand that the sheer number of updates and DLC released for our game can be daunting for players .” new and existing ones. We don’t want you to miss out on any part of the full Dying Light experience . That’s why we’re proud to present Dying Light: Definitive Edition ,” the studio said in a press release. The release of this edition is not the only move Techland has made to commemorate the anniversary: in March the game was updated for the new consoles and the Enhanced Edition was made available for free.
Definitive Edition includes the base game and all 26 DLCs
In the statement it has been specified that Dying Light: Definitive Edition will be available from tomorrow with an attractive “massive discount of up to 70%” in the digital stores of the platforms in which the game has been put on sale; the Nintendo Switch version will be released later. This edition includes, in addition to the base game, the 26 DLC contents that have reached the title so far, including skin packs and various expansion packs for the story . Techland says that this edition is “the best way to experience the amount of content and love that we have poured into this game for 7 years.”
To thank the community for its support over these seven long years, the studio has also decided to release one last free DLC called the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle, which will be available for the next two weeks. Finally, it should be noted that those players who already own the Platinum Edition of the game will be upgraded to the Definitive Edition at no additional cost .
