The Nightdive team made an offer to Epic Games to develop a remaster of the first part of the Unreal shooter series.
- The president of the company Stephen Kick revealed that after the release of the remaster of Quake Nightdive through Cliff Bleszinski, he contacted Epic Games with an offer to refresh the game Unreal .
- It is not known yet if anything resulted from this offer.
- Stephen Kick encourages players to contact Epic Games president Tim Sweeney to express their support for the idea.
- Bleszinski himself declined to comment on what he said was for legal reasons, which might suggest ongoing negotiations on the matter.
We would like to remind you that the first Unreal was released in May 1998, and in 1999 the add-on Return to Na Pali debuted .
Epic Games has neglected this brand in recent years. Some maliciously comment that it would be nice if the Unreal Engine was used to develop a game in the Unreal series . The studio tried to revive the multiplayer leg of the series by creating the new Unreal Tournament , but the development of this project was abandoned many years ago and it never made it out of the early alpha phase.
Currently, Epic Games focuses all its strength on Fortnite and the Unreal Engine, so do not expect the studio to return to its classic brand. Therefore, it would be a good idea to allow Nightdive to develop a remaster.
