Almost five years have passed since the release of Persona 5 , a Japanese role-playing video game and social simulator developed by Atlus and which has become one of the most loved chapters of the entire franchise and probably the most important which has managed to intrigue even those who they didn’t know the saga at all.
We are talking about a franchise that has always grown by focusing on really mature and important themes , in the last chapter of the series we will impersonate a high school student, but in a realistic world full of corruption, death and social unrest with obviously that good dose of Japanese extravagance that so much we have been able to appreciate over time. The success of Persona 5 has led Atlus to also develop spin-offs , such as the acclaimed Omega Force musou , a real sequel to the adventures of the Phantom Thieves.
In short, five years behind him are a long time, and that is why perhaps Atlus has in mind to make a big announcement soon. The Australian classification body has entered in its database the cryptic Project Pen , registered only a few days ago, on November 4, 2021. Although there is no big information that can confirm the arrival of Persona 6 in the short term, it is good to specify a couple of points.
The title would be referred to as “multi-platform” and is classified MA 15+ (our PEGI 16 in fact), due to the ” strong violence and sexual images”. If we also insert the showcase for the 25th anniversary of the series scheduled for this December in this cauldron of speculation , is Project Pen really a code name for the sixth chapter of the famous franchise? We hopefully underneath, also because the fifth chapter helped Atlus and SEGA to understand how many people outside of Japan could be interested in the series, and given the success with millions of copies sold attached, let’s say that they have certainly slept soundly.
