The creators of NiOh and Stranger of Paradise take the action into a Han Dynasty-themed dark fantasy; will debut on Xbox Game Pass.
Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja, known for Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive , announced their new adventure during the Xbox and Bethesda broadcast : Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty , an action game for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC coming in early 2023 and debuting on Xbox Game Pass.
The title stars a nameless soldier who fights for his survival in a dark fantasy inspired by the last years of the Han dynasty, with demons that populate the Three Kingdoms Period. We will fight against lethal creatures and enemy soldiers thanks to our sword and Chinese martial arts.
The developer seems to be leaning in recent years for this type of dark adventures after the success of the two NiOh and its most recent project for Square Enix, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin , which transferred the Final Fantasy universe and an action RPG with souls-like touches . Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty , however, bets on a period that we have seen on other occasions but in the musou games of Omega Force, the Dynasty Warriors saga , with myths of Chinese culture.
