Microsoft intends to address the problem of failing batteries on the motherboard. The team of the American corporation is trying to eliminate a bug that could cause players to lose access to the games. The situation was confirmed by the head of the Xbox brand.
In recent weeks, there has been information from players who have confirmed the problem with access to games in digital and physical distribution on PlayStation 4 due to a battery failure on the motherboard. The inconvenience was also supposed to appear on PlayStation 5 , and the Japanese manufacturer quietly got rid of the error .
The problem with the CMOS battery could also cause great inconvenience on the Xboxes, because the console would need constant access to the servers so that customers could even play single-player productions.
“The hardware team is hearing the message about our consoles […] should allow for the ongoing relationship between the player and the content that they own,” Spencer said. “So we hear the message and the teams are looking at things.”
Phil Spencer in an interview with Stephen Totilo from Axios confirmed that the company is aware of the potential threat and is dealing with the inconvenience.
